Shipping

Shipping live angelfish has many variables which require consultation with you the customer. During the warm summer months shipping live fish is much less expensive than shipping live fish through the winter season. To determine costs to ship fish to you we would ask you to send us an email at: franktheeplumber@gmail.com

We prefer to ship using the Fed Ex 2 Day shipping system to deliver your fish in the most cost responsible way.

Due to the time sensitive nature of shipping live tropical fish we ship to the continental United States ONLY.

We ship on Mondays (Holidays excluded) using 2 day shipping. Due to requirements of fish preparations, orders submitted by the end of the day on Friday will ship the following Monday. All orders received after the end of day on Friday will ship on Monday of the following week.

Live Arrival Guarantee

We offer a live arrival guarantee with the following conditions attached;

We ask that if possible, you plan to be home to accept the arrival of your new fish, or to arrive home within an hour or two to prevent the fish from sitting out of doors in uncontrolled environments where they may chill or over heat. If your fish do not arrive in lively condition, we ask that you inform us of this situation with an image of the fish preferably in their sealed shipping bag or an image of the fish in its deceased condition.

We ask that you follow our acclimation instructions or a similarly accepted procedure that addresses matching water conditions over time.

Fish Acclimation Instructions

Upon receiving your fish, you should place the fish along with their shipping water into a clean non toxic vessel or container. You want to match the water the fish are within to the water within your aquarium or preferably your quarantine aquarium. We recommend adding doses of your established tank water at a rate of 20% every 5 minutes to match the shipping water to your water. By doing this procedure you match the temperature, pH and minerals in our water closely to your water and this reduces stress that the fish might experience from too rapidly having water parameter changes. If the vessel holding the fish and the shipping water gets a bit full feel free to pour off a bit of it. It is recommended to place new arrival fish into a quarantine aquarium for a couple of weeks to lessen issues related to stress. We typically wait 12 hours or so to feed new arrivals to allow for them to relax, we feed lightly using a flake or small amount of well thawed frozen feed. We do not like to feed ice cold food, it’s bad for fish digestion.

The captivating beauty of Albino Veil Angelfish Spawning.

Once upon a time I received an aquarium……..

In this aquarium I tried many different types of fish to keep, grow and eventually to breed. Of all of the fish, the angelfish was to my eye, the most beautiful.

Through persistence and dedication, I learned from the Angelfish.

With each spawning the fish became more exceptional.

If only I could share them with others…………

From a very small egg may grow a graceful and extraordinary angelfish.
